The Pokémon craned her head towards the sky, releasing a microscopic huff of air out of her mouth. Metal claws chiming together to make a small rhythm, she began humming her own broken melody, appearing to glitch and reset the song every few moments that passed by. She inquired to herself – Why hadn’t the blue haired creature run away from her? Somehow, he was unlike than the others. Her systems were by far too limited to the information that they could contain at once. Too much knowledge could cause her to break down and too little would not allow her to carry on.
She felt like a puppet on strings, only doing whatever the chip inside her brain allowed her to. She knew that sometime in the near or far future, she would have to go back… There. Her lens turned downwards at the mere thought. She didn’t want to go back. She would most definitely get scolded and taken apart if she did. She still had to. It wasn’t a choice. Only the laboratory contained what she needed. What did she need? She wasn’t too sure herself. She just knew that something was back there… Something that was crucial to her survival.
“Calcium – Calcium – Isn’t ——— mon-STER —-If she wa- WAS – Was – She – Creature ——- Specimen – Run – AWAY—- GONE —-”
Trying to complete sentences was difficult for her. Every word that came out of her mouth was broken. Her processor simply wasn’t fast enough. Besides, she hadn’t been exposed to speech enough to be capable of imitating it. She wished she could learn. Right now, she was trapped between the phases of a robot and a Pokémon. What was she, really? A freak of nature…? No, that couldn’t be correct… She was a living organism… Or was she? Her heart, her body, her everything was fabricated. It would break down if the slightest of pressure was applied against it. She could be effortlessly killed with the simple flick of a switch.
Drumming her fingertips onto the railing, she questioned what her relation with the first mortal she had encountered was. Acquaintances…? She wouldn’t go that far. He acted as if he was disgusted of her. That couldn’t be it. Friends…? She had heard the term being used amongst the other humans. Calcium never got the chance to ask them what it meant. Not like they’d tell her, anyways. She didn’t know what it meant. She tried searching for it, only to come to no conclusion.

Needless to say, she was completely helpless in this world of judgmental freaks.
